Mother of the Bride, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen
For preparation photographs, ensure that the mother of the bride and bridesmaids have their dresses on. This adds elegance and cohesiveness to the images. Similarly, the groomsmen should be dressed in their tuxedos or suits during preparation photos. This attention to detail enhances the overall aesthetic and creates stunning visuals.
Attention to Table Decor
To capture exquisite detail photos of your table decor, make sure all linens are pressed and steamed. Wrinkled linens can detract from the overall elegance and sophistication of the wedding setup. Smooth, pristine linens provide a polished backdrop for your photographs.
Creating a Serene Bridal Preparation Room
Before photographing the bride’s preparation, ensure that the preparation room is free of clutter. Generally we will come in beforehand to let you know where we will be photographing you zipping up your dress and applying the veil. A clutter-free environment not only allows for captivating shots but also creates a calm and serene atmosphere. Clearing away distractions enhances the visual appeal of the images.
Have Your Officiant Commit!
Communicate with the officiant at your ceremony rehearsal to ensure they understand the importance of committing to stepping away quickly during the ceremony kiss or choosing to stay behind the bride and groom to avoid any unintentional photo bombing. This will avoid any mid-kiss leaps to the side which are much harder to photoshop out of your images. This will ensure that your intimate moment is captured without any awkward interruptions.
Groom’s Skin Preparation
Breakout coverage or light powder application from the makeup artist is absolutely acceptable for the groom on his wedding day. This helps achieve smoother skin and avoids an oily face in photos (especially for summer weddings.) Essentially, enhancing the grooms confidence and overall appearance. It’s very important to prioritize the groom’s comfort and ensure he feels his best on this special day.

With all the kissing throughout the day, it’s important for both the bride and groom to keep their lips moisturized. Using lip balm regularly and lip stick for the bride is recommended to avoid dry or chapped lips.
